Edward Richard is a trial attorney who has tried over 1000 cases to verdict. He is a former Assistant States Attorney for Cook County, Illinois, where he was a "First Chair" felony criminal prosecutor. After leaving the States Attorney's office in 1979, Ed developed a broad commercial, corporate business practice, concentrating in the litigation of commercial disputes and creditors' bankruptcy rights. He also has broad experience in the areas of chancery and equitable remediates. As part of Ed's extensive legal practice, he often serves as the chairperson of arbitration panels mandated by the Circuit Court of Cook County. Ed is a graduate of Tulane University and received his law degree from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, where he served as the Notes Editor for the Journal of Urban Law and was the recipient of two awards for scholastic excellence. Ed is licensed to practice in Illinois and is a charter member of the trial bar for the Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
